Release Notes

When you download the zip file, please right click it and on the Properties tab if you see an "Unblock" button make sure you click it otherwise it will not unzip correctly and you will got some odd runtime issues.

This release is a major rewrite of Wolfpack...
  1. Wolfpack now has a UI! This provides a real-time of the notifications generated and importantly the ability to configure Wolfpack without having to edit xml files any more!
  2. Check out the v3 documentation for more details on the new features.
  3. Wolfpack is available on Chocolatey!...just type "cinst wolfpack"

v2.x compatibility

None really! This is a pretty big rewrite of Wolfpack and some core concepts have changed including the configuration so unfortunately you will need to recreate any configuration you have with existing installations.

Running Wolfpack

You can run Wolfpack as a console application whilst you are evaluating it. Simple unzip and run...

Add a URL Reservation in order to run Wolfpack...follow the notes here on creating a URL reservation to allow Wolfpack to create a self-hosted API (about 2/3 down the page - section called "Url Reservation").

The default installation has a single check running called "IsNotepadRunning". This check is looking for running instances of notepad.exe and demonstrates an active HealthCheck. The console publisher is also active - it will output the "IsNotepadRunning" notification to the console window.

The User Interface is available at http://localhost:802/ui ...from here you can configure the checks/publishers etc that are running.

Installing as a Service
